m18x cpu socket size?

    Is the m18x cpu socket size a PPGA988 or a FCPGA988 or the m18x can use either processor with those sockets?

    PPGA would mean the circuitry is exposed on the topside where you can actually see the trace paths on the top layers. The ones we have on the M18X are clearly FCPGA988B.

    This is merely packaging aspect, the PPGA having higher thermal dissipation characteristics. S as along as the CPU is PGA988B it works.

    Its specifically rPGA 988B reduced pitch. This socket is specifically called G2
