M18x already reviewed on HardwareHaven....

    Is it just me or is the max CPU temp they got on Prime95 a bit too high. Seems like 81c is too high for this chip at stock clocks. I'm no expert on how Sandy Bridge chips are supposed perform when stress tested by Prime95 but I would have liked to see this laptop deliver something like 70c.

    Can anyone help me with reading comprehension here? -
    Does this mean the buttons for media and device functionality are still touch sensitive or not???

    Considering the M18x is following along with many design aspects of the R3, the media buttons will most likely be hard buttons since that's how they are on the R3 model.

    Yup buttons are physical touch based and not capacitve anymore.

    I'm sure a repaste would bring that down significantly. My GPU and CPU were overheating at like 95C GPU and 80C CPU a few days after I got it. I opened the bottom up and the paste was a mess. A repaste with budget ac ceramique brought it down to 70C max on both. Though, my mem temps on the GPU are still somewhat high...
