Then instruct him on how to do it.

Open the BIOS, set the multiplier to what you want, apply it, save, thats that lol.
Or just set multiplier with Throttlestop. Or XTU.

He's not asking about OCing, he's asking about bypassing power/current restrictions which can be done with throttlestop, I just forget the exact steps.

...perhaps I should've mentioned that the current/EDP limit is triggering BECAUSE OofOC ;) i have racketed every slider from hell and back, but the VR/ICC options are unavailable. Neither XTU nor Throttlestop. Or maybe I'm missing something in the BIOS, maybe it's named different, but I can't seem to find it. The throttling isn't that bad, but it's persistent, and I hate seeing yellow in XTU.

is this for the +200/400MHz overclocking ? for more we need to modify the bios with/use a specific microcode, right ?

If you've installed the unlocked bios maybe you can manipulate the power limits?

In apparantly all platforms you can ignore intel spec and overclock according to some. For some some platforms this is certainly true but I have never seen it done on the ranger.

It's the A16+ v22 miceocode taken from this forum.

There are some issues with it, I've tweaked every value at this point (except undervolting, because so far it was causing problems with not POSTing, and it wasn't greatly undervolted...

Ok, another thing - is it possible to even OC the P4000M? I've been looking all over the web for some clues on that and I couldn't find an answer. There is something about dynamic clock management on Pascal+ cards, but can anything be done about it?

Another upgrade question: was anyone successful with upgrading the Ranger with any screen beyond FHD 120Hz? Like some 4K display?
