M11xR1 does not recognize the battery

    Today I got a message - the battery is not recognized and can not be loaded, press F1 to continue, F5 for diagnosis. When I push the test button on the back of latop - light up all the lights. Almost all the time I working with power brick . Where can be a problem ?

    This happened to me a while back. Make sure the system is turned off, and then remove the bottom plate/cover. Unplug the battery, plug it back in, and reboot the system. This should get it going again.

    That's very good advice, try a power drain. Turn off the machine, make sure no peripheral is connected. Remove the a/c adapter and the battery. Hold the power button for 30 to 45 seconds (the system isn't supposed to turn on). Then reconnect the battery and a/c adapter and check if the system recognizes the battery. If it does, you can try to flash the BIOS.

    Thanks again. One more question if You can - can I remove the battery , and safely use the computer without it?
