    Hi,

I didn't find the answer or the QVL for a M.2 SSD to put in a Clevo N850HL.

Could you tell me if there are some models to avoid ?
Apparently the motherboard includes a M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 3 port.

    Kind regards

    Thanks!
I'm a bit afraid of the temperature without a heatsink however. For example a Crucial P2 reaches 65°C.
Maybe you would recommend something to help with this?
Edit: found silicone pads, maybe that could be something to start with

Meh... I'm running 2 drives in mine w/o a HS and they only hit high temps upon large data transfers. Typically they sit around 25-30C. When maxing out a transfer though they do get hotter and start throttling a bit but, they cool down quickly once it's done.

I'm running 2 different brands at this point but, they're capable of hitting 1.5GB/s between them when I sync things up. When they're on an extended copy though they do slow down to ~800MB/s.

Like anything else just keep an eye on them and you'll be fine. The chassis should cool them off w/ the fans for the CPU/GPU. double check the firmware if you see issues such as slow speeds / heat. Both of the drives I'm using have a Phison controller on them an use the same update process / files. They both shipped with lesser revisions of FW and needed to be updated. Dramatic differences after updating.
