Looking for Quadro P5200 vBIOS

    So another update:

    The card is now getting a P5200 core. Don't hold your breath for the shipment to clear customs though... Expect the core attempt to be made in 2-3 weeks.

    Fun fact: Gecube and Zotac PCB material is far higher quality than what is used by MSI and Clevo. The 1070 shows no sign of BGA damage after 2 core pulls, while a Clevo or MSI board would be destroyed at this point.

    thats really interesting! especially considering that the power delivery on the MSI cards is considered to be way more robust, but of course thats a different area than PCB quality :) happy to hear that your PCB is still alright.

    Hi, I would like to know if you have any update about this swap ? the 1080 core was bad or there is a difference between these two chip ? maybe the vbios need a matching pci id ? :)

    1080 core is incompatible.

    I got a quadro core and tried soldering it on. Apparently higher melting temp solder than 217C was used on it and it did not wet well to the 1070 with a 217C profile. It needs to be removed and reballed but I think the 1070 pcb cannot handle another core change.
