    USA

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
    I don't have any preference
    5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?
    No

    6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
    General uses, productivity, and gaming.

    7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
    both

    8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? (If so, please state which games or types of games?)
    Warframes, mainly adventure/open-world/action/Brawl MMOs

    9) How many hours of battery life do you need?
I would like 5 hours or more for my everyday uses.

    10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
    Without seeing is okay.

    No preference

    Build Quality and Design
Decent build, but I will be using external keyboard & mouse.

    14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
    Not important

    Notebook Components
    2 3.0 USB minimal
    Microphone/Headphone jack.

    15) How much hard drive space do you need?
256 GB or more, SSD only, no SSD+HDD hybrid

    Timing, Warranty and Longevity

    16) When are you buying this laptop?
    Within the end of 2019

    17) How long do you expect to use this laptop?
I am hoping to use it for next 3 or 4 years.

    18) How long could you afford to do without your laptop if it were to fail?
Almost none, everything including gaming & productivity are mainly on my laptop. I would be seriously screwed if it dies on me.

    19) Would you be willing to pay significantly extra for on-site warranty, or would it be acceptable to you to have to ship the laptop to the vendor for repair with perhaps a week or more outage?

I'm fine with either one, it mainly depends on the timing. I would need it immediately during regular semester. Shipping in for repair during Holidays/Vacation is fine.

The Lenovo Legion Y740 is one pick. Also try the Razer Blade 15 and the MSI GS65 Stealth if you want something a little sleeker.

The MSI GE65 Raider is a little thicker, but has a non-Max-Q i.e. full-power Nvidia graphics card that will give you better performance. Try to shoot for an RTX 2070 graphics card and a Core i7-9750H processor.
