    Hello,

I'm considering buying a new laptop. Last time I bought a Sager (about 5 years ago), and I liked it with the exception of the fact that recently headphone jack has become fickle and only plays audio through the right channel unless I insert the cable into the jack a certain way (and even then, it's still unstable). Not sure if it's a problem for every Sager/Clevo laptop, but it is what it is.

    1) What is your budget?

Up to $2000. I can consider going above if it makes sense, so those recommendations are welcome.

    2) What size notebook would you prefer?

    17 inches or more.

    3) Which country will you buying this notebook?

    United States

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

Not really. I've had HP laptops overheating on me, but times are changing, and I'm sure what

    5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?

    No.

    6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

4K video editing, music writing. Being able playing high end games is a plus, as well.

    7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?

    It'll mainly be at home.

    8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? (If so, please state which games or types of games?)

    I might, although admittedly I haven't played anything spec-demanding since GTA 5.

    9) How many hours of battery life do you need?

    Doesn't matter.

    10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?

    Doesn't matter.

    11) What OS do you prefer? Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Chrome OS, etc.

    Windows.

    Screen Specifics

    12) What screen resolution(s) would you prefer? (See further below for explanations.)

1080p is okay. Is 4K worth it? I haven't been keeping up with the times.

    13) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen? (See further below for explanations.)

    Doesn't matter.

    Build Quality and Design

    14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?

    No.

    Notebook Components

    15) How much hard drive space do you need?

The more the better. At least 1 TB.

    Timing, Warranty and Longevity

    16) When are you buying this laptop?

I'm not sure yet. Could be as soon as next week.

    17) How long do you expect to use this laptop?

    4-5 years.

Thank you for all your suggestions!

Thank you for the reply! I took a look at the system, and it definitely looks interesting and is a strong candidate for purchase.

At a quick glance I'm not a fan of the keyboard, but everything else seems on point at the very least.

    Any other suggestions from anybody?
