looking for a gaming laptop

    im looking to buy a gaming laptop to go on the road with me, so something thin and light.
    i was looking at the new razor blade 2015. but i think there is more options out there that i should look at.
    any help is greatly appreciated.



    1) What is your budget?
    i have around $2,000.00

    2) What size notebook would you prefer?

    Thin and Light; 14" - 15" screen

    3) Where will you buying this notebook? You can select the flag of your country as an indicator.
    USA.

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
    doesn't matter
    5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?
    yes

    6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
    gaming, and office.

    7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
    both.

    8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
    League of legends, GTA V, skyrim, witcher, etc

    9) How many hours of battery life do you need?
    something decent when not gaming.

    10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
    online is fine.

    11) What OS do you prefer? Windows (Windows 7 / 8), Mac OS, Linux, etc.

    Windows.

    matte.

    around 250 gb.

    Many options at that price range.

    I think your overall best bet (from a price/performance point of view) is the Clevo P650SG. Many resellers have it in stock. While not as thin and stylish as the Razer Blade, it is cheaper and performs better.

    If you don't need as much power you could also look at the Clevo P650SE, it has a 970m instead of the 980m in the P650SG. It's a little lighter 5.5lbs instead of 5.6lbs and is less than an inch instead of just over the inch.

    what about websites where i can buy? ... no recommendation for something MSI?

    Like said above, both the P650SE/SG (Sager NP8651/8652) are good choices...
