Hi all, my mid 2014 MBP is currently dying and my late 2011 alienware M17x R3 has given up on me for any recent game. So i'm looking for a replacement that could offer mobility and light gaming (preferably with a GTX 1060) before I can buy a DTR laptop when the next gen pop up.

    1) What is your budget?
    Preferably under 1,500 $ 1800€ can go as high as 2500$ 2700€.
    2) What size notebook would you prefer?
    c. Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen
    d. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
    3) Where will you buying this notebook? You can select the flag of your country as an indicator.
France but I can order internationally if needed so if you're from the US please do make a suggestion nonetheless.

    4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
    a. Like: Asus
    b. Dislike: MSI (Bought a GE63 in December that had very bad coil whine and the RMA process was a massive pain)
    5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistributed?
    No

    6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
College - writing, websurfing. would appreciate a minimum of 5:30/6 hour of battery life on websurfing.

    7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
Will be carrying it pretty much all day.

    8) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
Avid strategy gamer like Total war warhammer 2, Civ games, but also PUBG, CSGO and pretty much all kind of AAA titles, depending on the price I mostly expect this laptop to run my strategy games, for the more fast paced FPS i'll wait for my DTR.

    9) How many hours of battery life do you need?

    Minimum of 5:30/6hours of websurfing.

    10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
    I'm ok with online buying.

    11) What OS do you prefer? Windows (Windows 7 / 8), Mac OS, Linux, Chrome OS, etc.
    Windows 10.

    Screen Specifics

    12) From the choices below, what screen resolution(s) would you prefer? Keep in mind screen size in conjunction with resolution will play a large role in overall viewing comfort level. Everyone is different. Some like really small text, while others like their text big and easy to read. (Scroll down to see screen resolution information.)
Preferably something bright with a high refresh rate but it's not one of my main concern.

    13) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen? (Scroll down to see explanations.)
    Honestly not sure.

    Build Quality and Design

    14) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
I would prefer something simple without all the bells and whistle but I don't really care.

    15) When are you buying this laptop?
    ASAP but before september 2017.

    16) How long do you want this laptop to last?
5 years minimum for college / basic websurfing and hd video.

    Notebook Components

    17) How much hard drive space do you need? Do you want a SSD drive?
I want a SSD Drive, I would prefer at least 512 gb of space. (+1TO HDD if possible).

    18) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD Burner, Blu-ray Reader or Blu-Ray Burner?
    Nope.
