    Alot of roads around here are dirt, And honestly aint nothing like breaking traction until 65MPH in the 6.7L CTD. Funnest vehicle I've ever been in. Of course it doesn't behave properly until you trick its stock ECM into putting it down. ;)

    Okay, maybe I made a mistake.
    Is the vehicle repowering law in effect as of January 1st 1984, or January 1st 1996 in New York State?

    I have been hearing both numbers on different forums, and the New York state website is not clear.

    Looks like it's 1984, unless you can improve the emissions equipment. However, upon the visual inspection, I think a diesel will fail. If you are in NYC Metro, you have even more to deal with, and even more tests, so a repower is even less likely.
