    Hey,

I'm looking for a budgetnotebook, and as bit of a noob in the buissnes I just don't no nothing about it [)].

I would like to use it as a desktop replacer, to do a bit of surfing, photoshopping etc.

I read some good things of the Dell 1100 would this be a good choise?

Or should I rather look for a different one, like Acer or Toshiba,

please help me, as you see, I need it [:D][;)]

Might want to checkout the Dell 5150 as well, it's a better notebook than the 1100 and can cost a reasonably good price of just above $1000. If you want an $800 notebook then the 1100 is a good choice though.

Acer makes excellent notebooks as of late and have outstanding customer service. You might want to check them out.

If dollard are of primary concern, I agree, checking out Acer might be a good play. They've come along nicely of late. The mid-range Dell's are worth a look as well, but Dell has been having build quality issues that seem to span most models.
