Blood Meridian - Cormac McCarthy (it takes you back to a different time and area, were war and death was casual and deconstructs the myths of those amazing gunslingers)

War and Peace - Tolstoy (it takes ALOT of patience to get over the massive storyline he's setting up though).

Old Man and the Sea - Hemingway (A very short book that managed to move me as much as the 1000+ pages of War and Peace)

A Farewell to Arms - Hemingway (The pains of love written in brutal elegance)

Factotum - Bukowski (Poetry for the working class)

String and M Theory; A Modern Introduction

Tropic of Cancer - Henry Miller (A journey to the underworld of Paris and how little Miller fears the waste and disease)
