Well I mean, I took the time to be SURE that they could do the LM job. They applied kryonaut level paste so it's not like it was cheap mx-2 or something like that, but still; why offer liquid metal if you don't apply it.

Anyway ; if anybody has a guide on how to apply LM on mxm cards, I'm all ears.

Like @yrekabakery linked, I bought the window foam thing, electric tape and now I'm waiting on the CLU + pads to be done with it once and for all.

I think they use Aeronought when they think they are using Kryonout, I noticed the color differences and how liquidy it is a few times, the tubes look the same, but sometimes there are scammers out there trying to sell Aeronout as Kryonout, and if you do not know better.... you can get taken advantage of. Especially when trying to only buy the cheapest.

But generally, when they charge you for a LM or say they will do so, they do it, not to talk about their specific quality of doing so, but you should just contact them, they might have to make it up to you, since you paid for something you didn't get, if what you are telling us is true.

This doesn't look like liquid metal to me, but I could be mistaken.

On the bright side; I already had good temps; so I guess that with LM it should be even better

That's a really nice job. Any specific reasons why he didn't put LM on the GPU?

Applying it on the GPU is the same as when you delid the CPU, just spread it evenly (no pooling) on the die and heatsink. Cut 4 strips of the window sealing foam and barricade the die before screwing the heatsink back down.

I wouldn't go in expecting miracles if this is your first time with LM, just keep that in mind.

Yeah that was my question; why. Is it because it's unsafe or anything?

I just noticed @woodzstack is living close to me,
I just noticed @woodzstack live in the city next to mine so I wrote him asking how much a repaste and repad would be :rolleyes:
