Linux capable laptop with 4:3 or 3:2 display

    Thanks, unfortunately the MacBook Pro is a high price to pay for Linux capability.

    You can certainly get a a MBP for $2k.

    I think Apple products are great for people who like macOS, unfortunately I am not one of those people. I don't think I could buy an Apple product just to wipe it with Linux nor do I know if there any driver problems with anything that isn't macOS.

    I think I'm going to wait for 51nb to release the Thinkpad T70 with the 4:3 screen.

    Not really happy with what I've seen with the Surface and Chromebook. Does anyone know of any 3:2, 4:3 or 16:10 alternatives that were recently released?
