Nice, and yeah...say no more then lol. Hopefully they'll take care of you.
The worst part is, I took it to Honda and they couldn't reproduce the noise in the 5 min drive they took. So, they sent me off with a note...
3-year/36000 mile warranty expires in March, so they're probably just avoiding it altogether. If it gets worse, I'll start taking it in every week until they just fix it. "Hey guys, back again!"
Note says "our tech does not hear noise"?
I've used it's literal translation to finnish few times in my reports, since the noise/sound/voice is same word. Sot it can be said that customer hears voices, where as I do not
Anyways. Take the tech with you for a ride and demonstrate him how it appears, if possible.
@KLF, I had a video recording of the noise and everything. Came well prepared.
The poll is lacking DCTs and SMGs which are automated manual transmissions
Not 100% sure if that's the TOB, but it's a common problem with the BRZ/FRS as well. Hope it doesn't happen to my car, but you bet I'll bring it in at the first sign of trouble if I'm still within warranty!
Damn kids and their fancy transmissions, trying to be all cool and stuff!
It's either manual or automatic.
Damn old timers and their overly simple models!
Hehe just wanted to be snarky Technically, if you define a manual as having a clutch pedal, then yes both are considered automatic transmissions, but they aren't like a traditional automatic in mechanical design, but closer to a manual. The main thing that classifies them as automatic with most people is that the clutch is controlled by a computer usually via electronics or hydraulics.
Although while not as engaging, I've found the SMG transmission from BMW to be really fun to drive.
Yes, I needz dat clutch. Otherwise what's the purpose of left leg? Might as well cut it...
Yeah I also need mah roll down windows too and I also enjoy having to wash my dishes by hand! Automation is for wimps.
