    Quick question. I have a new Y540 with the following specs. i7 9750h, 144hz screen , 16gb ram, nvidia rtx2060.

My question is this 230w power brick is huge. Like if I was stranded on a island I could use this as a raft to float away to safety big. I'd like to see if there is a smaller option to use for travel. I won't be gaming while I'm traveling and was wondering if there would be an issue using the 170w or even 135 watt version with the same slim plug would be fine or if anyone has tried this. I'm also using hybrid mode is that make any power difference which I assume it does since the rtx2060 isn't active while not gaming. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Only thing I can tell you is the basic 90(?) Won't work. Tried it. Won't even run the laptop, let alone charge it. Pops up a message complaining it's too low wattage etc etc.
