    Hello,

The USB works just fine when the laptop is on, but it doesn't work when the laptop is off, any ideas?

Another problem I am facing is that the laptop takes long to boot after sleep(more than the time it takes booting when its off!) and that started yesterday, along with the screen down and locking every few minutes(Its not a problem in the power settings).

    Thanks,
    Hush

Removed the Intel HD and the sleep and lock problem is gone :D

Did you enable it in the BIOS? Also, always-on USB only works when the computer is plugged in, off or not.

I think it worked when it was connected and turned off, but I got this from lenovo website in the features in y510p page:
    "Always-On USB Port
Recharge a mobile device even when the laptop is powered off and unplugged."

Having a laptop charge externals when unplugged would be a BAD design idea, this thing would just drain batteries.
