Jinenigma, did you monitor your temp ?

And can anyone answer to me if their hinge are making noise when opening or closing the laptop, or even when adjusting the screen ?

Hey guys, its me again, I decided today to take off thr back cover of my Y50, my screwer selection is small so I tried few of them. I was able to take off 10 screws, except the middle and top left one which are waaaaaay tougher than the rest. I even broke one of my screwers and I think that they do not fit properly (too small, hope I have not damaged the screw from many trials with the small screwer) what type of screwer would fit the Y50? Would Torx T5 fit it? I really hope the srews are not damaged... Thanks in advance, have a nice day!

i'd assume it's your hard drive (if you're still using the stock 1TB SSHD that came with the machine). i had major stuttering in all games too, until i put something else in there.

Yes I'm using the stock sshd, so isn't there any other workaround?
They shouldn't call it a gaming laptop if that's the case.

i don't know what to say; the specs clearly mentioned a 5400 rpm hard drive.. even so, it performs worse than other hard drives of the same frequency. the stutter usually happens when the hard drive spins up to access stored data. maybe Western Digital has some kind of firmware/driver update for it? i haven't checked so i wouldn't know.

What about your GPU temp ?

And about your stutter/ lagg, is it a freeze that occur at some point or your FPS are dropping until you restart your pc ?

BTW, for the HDD issue, i use a software called quiethdd, which solved most of the freezing issues.

My Y50 is making some noise ( like a bit of plastic cracking noise), when i close it or when i adjust the screen during use. But not really when i open it.
