    Advantages of the y410p:
    - Haswell CPU, which is 5-10% faster and has 5-10% better power consumption
    - Optimus, non-SLI models only, only with stock lenovo drivers
    - 1600x900 screen optional [which, to me, is a must]

But if screen size/battery life doesnt bother you, save the extra 100$ and go for a y400.

That seems like a good deal for a new screen...

hello everyone, I have the Lenovo y400 with gt750m. I have a problem with the audio jack in Ubuntu. Someone running ubuntu can verify that a red light is coming out from the jack? Whenever I connect my headphones the speakers reproduce the internal sound of the laptop.

Hope someone is running Ubuntu and can tell me something about this issue.

Thank you and enjoy this great laptop

I just chatted with sales and it looks like they have the 750m Ultrabay in stock. I was curious to see if there was any y410p Ultrabays in stock (I have a y400), but surprisingly the Rep informed me there were y400 750ms ins stock. Just bought one, I'll report back whenever it shows up :D

Wait, so I can't buy a 650M ultrabay for either anymore? I thought that's what the gn35/gn36 were, 650M's? Or am I mistaken?

If they aren't available anymore, is there anywhere I could find one?

Might want to wait and see what peva3 actually gets. Reps have been notorious for confirming that ultrabay is a 750M only to have a 650M show up.

I was sceptical as well because only last week I chatted with another rep that said they were out of stock totally on every Ultrabay GPU and it would be 2 weeks until the 750m ones are in stock. That being said, since I got such a solid "guarantee" and screenshot it as well as having the Rep ID I decided to go for it.

Also there is this; on the Canadian version of the Lenovo site, it says that the GN35 is "due to Canada Day: July 1"

Worst comes to worst I return it and eventually get the correct one. I see it as more of a information gathering opportunity.
