So I'm making my final decision on which laptop to buy, my 3 choices are:

    https://www.johnlewis.com/hp-omen-1...orce-gtx-1060-15-6-inch-shadow-black/p3262775

    https://www.box.co.uk/80VR00APUK-Lenovo-Legion-Y720_2325649.html

    https://www.box.co.uk/9S7-16JB92-880-MSI-GP62MVR-7RFX(Leopard-Pro)-880UK_2368470.html

if you were in my position which would you get? I'm leaning towards the Lenovo due to the fact I like its design and its gpu has 3 more gb than the MSI and it has the best speakers (stereo) however the Msi and probably the HP have way better screen quality so I'm stuck.

    - The HP Omen only has a GTX 1060 maxq, which is slightly weaker than the regular notebook version, the screen is meh and speakers not bad.
    - The MSI has by far the best screen of the 3, the cooling is also not bad, but the speakers are garbage on that particulair model.
    - The lenovo has the worst screen of them all. it's absolute garbage, only having a color coverage of 57% sRGB and 37% Adobe RGB, however the Lenovo has the best sound of them all and the cooling is also the best of the 3. The real problem is just the garbage screen.

If I were in your shoes I'd to for the Lenovo and later swap out the panel to something good. Else this would be my ranklist of the 3:
    - Lenovo
    - HP omen
    - MSI

The Dell 7k series with its 1060 MaxQ seems to have the thermal throttle limit of 85c.

    It’ll need a repaste.

Good luck taking that bastard apart without having a stroke.

Thanks for the link, I didn't know EVGA made notebooks.

Wow I'm actually impressed, that notebook gives me the vibe of a workstation notebook, rather than gaming. It looks like a tank and looks very premium.
The screen is rather dimm, but sufficient for indoors, while having good contrast and color coverage, overall aside from it being dim and average response time, not bad at all.

The cooling of that notebook is absolutely superb for its hardware. To bad the repaste is going to be annoying. Also the speakers are terrible to say the least.

Overall not bad notebook I wouldn't buy it personally but a person that uses headset for the most part will love this, I'll recommend this in the future.

    Nope, research is key :)

The link gave me the model number, all I had to do was research.

It also does have 1 problem which most "newbies" won't like. the maintance is quite annoying to do such as repaste. The Mainboard is actually pointing upwsards, which means repaste = full dissassembly.
