    Hi all,

today I got a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 14 used. I like it so far. However, in the lower left corner of the screen there is a strange pattern (pictures taken the when machine is switched off):

Does anyone know what this is and, most importantly, will this somehow enlarge/do further damage to the screen?

In the current state I think I could be fine with this. It is hardly noticable when the laptop is running. I checked for dead pixels and this pattern doesn't show up in the black/white/red/green/blue test images at all.

[@Mods: Sorry, first post. 1. Please move somewhere more appropriate if necessary. 2. I hope I didn't violate any image posting policies doing things this way. If I did, please let me know and I'll try to correct. Thanks.]

    Thanks!

I don't think anyone here has a crystal ball and can tell you what the future holds. I'd guess it's a bad screen, but it's a guess. Personally, I'd take it back if possible.

    Finally an update.

Both an independent laptop repair shop and the seller suggested that this might be the glue between the actual screen and the touch glass. The seller offered a reduction of 70 € (from 599 €) or taking back the device. I gave back the device.

    Thanks to everyone!
