Roll the dice on the Panasonic Batteries. Sometimes you can find NOS (New Old Stock) batteries. Just remember to use the battery calibration tool several times to charge and fully discharge the battery. This helps greatly!

The IBM adapter work well for me... Do you have a model number? The ones I use have a PN of 73P4502. A long time ago I made a huge buy for 30+ IBM adapters that also came with a cigarette adapter. I wish now I would have bought them all... I'm down to my last few. I think I paid $5 each for them in bulk.

    BATTERIES

Batteries come in different ratings. CF-18 batteries will work fine in a CF-19, but a CF-19 battery won’t work in a CF-18.

    Factory Batteries part numbers:

    CF-18 Batteries
    Orange tab - 7.65Ah - CF-VZSU30B

    CF-19 Batteries
    Blue tab - 58Wh - CF-VZSU48
    Yellow tab - 59Wh - CF-VZSU58U

I find it a bit amusing that CF-18 Orange tab has more juice in it.

    Thank you Shawn,
I read that from Gentoo install link I updated few pages ago.

Right now I ordered 34mm express card -to-USB3 card

I will have the model of my chargers when I get to it. I have one coming with the laptop, and one in my hotel, generously donated by certain friends. I actually ordered Lenovo-to-IBM style plug a while back, which I shouldn't apparently because Lenovo supplies 20V.

I often like to carry a charger, and keep one at a more stationary workplace. Unfortunately, if I am carry 2 laptops from this point on, I'll be carrying 2 chargers.

yep ... you want 16VDC output ... most all the chargers/ac adapters are 19VDC .
did you get one of those 120VAC/12VDC input units ? ... they are great for mobile use .
those chinese batteries are pretty worthless .
some of the guys here have batteries , or , they can tell you who the real sellers on sneezebay are .
(yeppers , there is no doubt that they will happily tell you where to go)
    :p
