It seems to be GPU failure with artifacting. Sounds very suspicious to the artifacting problem when the RTX cards was launched. I haven't heard of any artifacting issue with newer produced RTX cards and laptop cards, but who knows.

I have heard of desktop cards having defects and quality control issues during launch. Perhaps it was maybe because rtx mobile cards are still new? We'll never know haha

If you click the “hybrid feature” in the vantage software it turns GSync off

I am about to give the 15" model a try, i5 or i7 is the question, good offer today on the german lenovo store.

One question before i hit the button remains, is there a second m.2 / nvme slot to install another ssd? Support doesn't know unfortunately..

    No 2nd m.2 sadly

The i5 is a great CPU too so I only recommend the i7 if you can personally benefit from the 4 extra threads.

Can you get the i5 combined with the RTX 2060 for example?

    Yes
Yes, 2060, i5, 128gb ssd that i would replace immediately, 16gb ram, same 144hz gsync panel for 1550 eur incl. Tax. Kind of competitive vs. the new clevos i am also eyeing.

However the i7 version with 256 gb ssd is only 1650 eur, no os and no storage drive though and at least a week until shipping.

I5 should be fine for casual gaming and such, no?

It just became available in Sweden and ordered the 15inch with RTX2060, 32GB RAM and a 512GB SSD.

Unfortunately with no student discount since it is not applicable on some new products in Sweden.

I intend to use it mostly for 3D modelling, rendering and Adobe Suite. I think that RTX2070 would be a little too much for this kind of use.

Let's hope that it will be dispatched in 7 working days as stated on the website.

You guys think upgrading from the RTX 2060 to a RTX 2070MQ/RTX 2080MQ worth the extra money if you plan on keeping the laptop for 2-3 years?
I’m really torn about the decision. I’m thinking I need at least a 2070 MQ but from what I seen the 2060 really is a great GPU.
