    That’s said without hestitation? What is the true lower latency going to be in this case?
    The 3000mhzill be choosing between g.skill or Corsair. The 3200mhz is crucial. Does that change your opinion or still same?

    As long as it is from a "big" brand, it's alright.

    Using an example:
    2133 Mhz CL13 -> bandwitdh = 17.0GBps; latency = 12.19ns
    2666 Mhz CL15 -> bandwitdh = 21.3GBps; latency = 11.25ns
    3200 Mhz CL16 -> bandwitdh = 25.6GBps; latency = 10.00ns

    Higher speeds but "worse latency" still ends up performing better than lower speeds but "less latency"

    Speed indeed,

    These picture were taken when I was OC'ing from 2400Mhz to 3467Mhz on my GS65:

    Below is 2933Mhz 18-18-41-18

    Below is 3200Mhz 18-18-45-18

    (2933 CL18)57.1ns vs (3200 CL18)54.5ns vs (3467 CL20)53.5ns.

    So this kit is the one to get because of 3200 :

    because this ones clock speed is 2666 :

    Kingston DDR4

    https://www.hyperxgaming.com/us/memory/impact-ddr4?Speed=2666MHz&Module Capacity=16GB&Kit=Kit of 2#atc

    Any of these kits should work with the Y740 right?

    Thanks for the pics! It is interesting how higher speeds can make a huge difference in latency, much more so that just raw latency improvements!

    Any SODIMM DDR4 RAM will work, just find the cheapest and fastest from a "good brand" and that should serve you fine

    New owner of a 15 inch RTX2060 model and loving it. It truly is a beast of a laptop.
    Immediately undervolted the CPU with -0.125 mV and it's running like a champ. Probably could push it more but after a while you run into the law of diminishing returns.
    Has anyone tried undervolting the RTX 2060 and if so, what are your results?

    So did Lenovo completely tank the military discounts for the Y740, etc?

    We had competitive $1,200 pricing a month for high-end 2070 laptops. Seems like they reduced the discounts and the cost of the new screen/new processors is making it difficult to get the new systems lower than $1,600.

    That price was probably for the 8750 intel models. /They recently upgraded to the 9750 intel models

    What’s the 2060 wattage pulling these days on the 15” y740. There’s some mixed content on this as of today so I’m trying to get the current facts.

    The 2060 3 months ago per my review was good for 80w in games and the rare 90w spike during Heaven or Firestrike randomly.

    Some have said 90-100w on theirs.
