    Thank you CHRIS_83. Indeed BIOS downgrade to A06 resolved this issue.
    It seems that further BIOS revisions cause false positive LCD error message.

    I hope the issue described in this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/dell-latitude-vostro-precision/627287-latitude-e6420-lcd-backlight-syncing-issue-cause-blown-lcd-2.html#post8106714 is not conected with false positive error message in Dell disgnostic utility.
