Moved over from the e7440 thread.

So I don't see the graphics option on retail either. I'm wondering if the 840m is simply standard on all 7450s, or is this a specific option?

They would be pimping and boasting about the graphics if it was just built in to all them wouldn't they? Surely it will be an upcharge....

I'm guessing it's a mistake? The E5450 can be ordered with the 840m, even though it doesn't have the card on it's product page, so someone probably got the two webpages confused. The 840m is a pretty powerful card so it'd make more sense for a regular laptop than an ultrabook.

I wouldn't think so. It's on the product page, the pdf tech specs, and the e7450 shows in the compatibility list for the 840m driver download page. That would be a lot of places to make a mistake.

so no msata option for the hard drive? I have a 1tb msata but I can't find many options for the new format. When do these hit the outlet site, I don't think I want to pay that premium now.

The 7450 config shows a msata interposer which if its the same as the 7440 means a plastic adapter in the 2.5" bay that holds the msata ssd.
