    I tried running 4.7 or 4.8 on upgraded and clean-install Windows 10. Shows the nvidia-chips and then "VAIO_Z1_330M_INF_Patcher has stopped working".

    So instead, VGA patched the 341.74 win10 drivers with a Win7 machine. 341.74 installer now starts up, but fails 1/4 through. Expected?

    Thanks for the heads-up. I got it working instead through "disabling driver signature enforcement".

    I feel better about this than permanent test-mode because my Win7 install stopped installing security updates late into its life. I want to make sure its unrelated.

    Self-Sign does drivers: Create a certificate and sign the modded driver yourself. No need to put windows into test-mode.

    Do you have a link for whatever it is that you're talking about? The last utility that I have used that did this was DSEO. Never heard of any utility called Self-Sign.

    341.81 (for win10) is out.

    Attached is the VGA modded inf using ComputerCowboy's 4.8 inf patcher. Should save Win10 people the trouble of going back to Win7 to run the patcher.

    Is there source for the patcher so we can fix it to run on Win10?

    Very nice of you, but I just installed the same driver on Windows 10 by running ComputerCowboy's v4.7 patcher. Didn't need to go to Windows 7 at all. Didn't even need to download v4.8. I have Windows 10 Pro x64 10240.

    Just check the properties of the files in the patcher and if any of them say that this file is blocked because it came from another computer, just unblock it.

    Hey man that would be awesome!! Cause I would also like to
    know how to keep this computer working without the fans on all the time. Cause even after 5 years this thing is KING! I upgraded the SSD to 512GB and its 8GB RAM and i7. Its still even now a beast of a machine I look forward to see what you do and if it can be fixed, sony frowned upon me when I told them I opened it up!

    Not blocked because of that.

    However the problem is an Exception error (from debugging with VS2015) is:
    {"Access to the path 'C:\\$RECYCLE.BIN\\S-1-{EDITED}\\$RACYTG1' is denied."}
