    Hi
I am using Acer E5-475G-55C8 for last twenty months with average of five hours daily.

Recently it is shouting down when battery discharged to 50%, without any prior notification. Actually it is not proper shut down. It is like battery completely discharged and Laptop suffers unexpected shut down.

Upon connecting to charger and switch on the Lap top, it is found the battery level is above 50%.

I have restore Windows to a factory fresh state with keeping my files. But situation is still the same.

The battery is not easy removable type. I never found the battery too hot condition.

Can anyone please suggest what could be the problem?

    (CPU:Intel Core I5-6200U, MEMORY:6 GB DDR4, HDD: 1TB HDD, VIDEO:NVIDIA® GeForce® 940MX with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM, OS: Windows 10)

Battery board is basicially dead, it cannot read the capacity of the battery anymore. You'd have to purchase a new battery.
