    Hi,

    I use gt540M

    I tried 0,83 and also tried 0,98, some said it would fix the common freeze/crash people with xps 1502x have

    When in game (playing warcraft 3) my external screen flickers times to time (every 10 secondes or so) for a duration of 0,5-1 second since i tried the modded bioses

    What does it mean? What should I do?

    well, I wasn't paying too much atention to the upgrades latelly.

    however when I saw your post I started downloading them.

    thanks for the hint :)

    @kgh00007

    I added you at the first post.

    also thanks a bunch for the comment :)

    well, 0.83v/0.98 is the stock voltage for the 540m so there is no modded bios with those volts

    in 0.83v/0.83v case is well known to be unstable on the 540m, it works fine for some users with a 525m , but as far I know, there is not a single user which got 0.83v/0.83v stable with a 540m.

    in your case, I would try the A10 0.83v/0.85v for the 540m.

    most users have good results with that one, about the flickers at the screen I have no idea at all, it could be a strange symthom about the GPU is not stable at all with that voltage, idk.

    try the 0.83v/0.85v and give feedback again :)

    I noticed the undervolted BIOS feature reduced temperatures, is this strictly regarding the GPU or would it decrease other components' temps as well?

    at the moment, it only reduce GPU temps, but since the GPU and CPU are the main heat generators, decreasing GPU temperature may also help a little to keep the system a cooler.

    Just thought I would give some more feedback since this bios mod is allowing me to keep playing BFBC2.

    I have a tech around to do another job at my work and asked him about my overheating issues with the standard bios.

    He suggested I call Dell and get it sorted - after all you shouldn't have to put up with underclocking your CPU to get your system working properly - currently I do the 99% CPU trick AND the modded BIOS to get BFBC2 to run without lockups.

    So I called Dell and they were excellent - arranged for a replacement motherboard. I even told the tech that if he had any AC5 to use that for a repaste and also to remove the dust filter too if he was to come out to do the job and he said no probs.

    So in preparation I rolled back to the standard A10 bios. Tonight, I can't play BFBC2, lockups galore. So I went back to the modded BIOS (0.85v) and haven't had a lockup since (1 hour of gametime).

    @knaff
    thanks for the feedback :)

    added you at the first post.

    I'm also glad the mod helped you to get the crashes away ^_^

    did you OCd the card? or playing with default clocks?

    No overclocking the GPU, just standard clocks on the GT540m with 2720QM cpu

    First of all, I would like to thank you for the mods.

    The 0.85/0.98 worked perfectly on my L502X (i3 + GT 525M).

    I would like to know if there is any mod that can take my 525M to 0.85/1.00V, which is the GT 550M voltage.

    Thank you a lot, and keep up the amazing job you are doing.

    @knaf

    well, in that case I'm glad the undervolting helped to fix the crashes with stock values, some users reported similar problems on another forums, seems we found a fix for it.

    @daniel2512

    glad to know you liked the mods.

    I added you at the first post ^_^

    sadly I dont think 1V is posible on the 525m without hardware mods, as far I know 1V is only avalible as the 540m, and it is the highest voltage suported by the vbios.

    oh, I was starting to thing I was the only one with an i3 at this laptop :D
