Anyone else have this happen? I have an MSI GE73 8RF with a clean windows install.

I deleted it via the Apps and Features tool, but am wondering why the system didn’t ask me before installing it.

The only other thing I can think of is it showed up the first time I had the laptop plugged in to an external monitor, I’ve used a wired LAN many times so that’s not it. I can’t imagine this is it so presume it was downloaded during my latest windows update.

Anyone using it? I deleted it out of knee jerk reflex.

    Thanks.

You would of got the driver from either Microsoft which has the Tigger to download the app or you installed the latest driver which also has the trigger to install the app. Either way it will trigger you because it installed the app. I do use it myself it's not bad.

This is part of Microsoft's new Evil plan.

Install the Killer WLAN Driver and the moment you get online the Killer Software gets installed in the apps including its services. That's the main reason why I removed the darn card from my laptop and replaced it with an Intel 9260 which is in fact the same card but without the Killer BS

Install the Realtek Audio Driver and t he Realtek Audio Console app gets installed automatically from the Windows Store

Install the Synaptics Touchpad Driver and the Synaptics Setting utility gets installed automatically from the Windows Store.

No they don't need your or my permission, once you have Windows 10 on your taptop, they (Micro$haft) are in control.

You see where they are going with this @Mr. Fox @Papusan

New ain’t always better brah. If you have a well working driver/software don’t upgrade/update! And close the door with all tools available.

Can't you stop it from installing the software via registry entries?

There is also a driver they're forcing to install which is "Rivet Network LLC Extension" and even after you block it, Windows goes on and reinstall it.
Unless it gives me a problem i leave it there because i'm freaking tired of running after Windows and MSI's negligence. And of course i'm never going to buy a product a Killer device in it again, if i can. Sometimes they don't leave you any choice though, so just swap for an intel or another brand card

You can try to block drivers updates with wushowhide but as i told you, whenever Microsoft pushes an update for it, it will be probably installed anyway. I tried to block them so many times that i gave up for good now lol

Killer Control Center should be easy to uninstall, though, i noticed that in every major release of W10 it gets reinstalled. That's the type of **** that i hate to deal with.

oh yeah you reminded me, the Rivet Network Extension is another POS that gets installed when you do Windows updates after a clean install along with the double cheese burger Killer Software Combo again!

Killer products...never again! I want to control what I install don't force feed me your bloatware and no I do not want to prioritize any bandwidth to any app I want any app I am using to get the full bandwidth that's why I pay so much for a fast internet connection! this is not 1999 with Dial up modems!
