I just accidentally deleted my entire videos folder, which had all my videos in it, BMW and car vids, comedy vids, movies, music videos, animation shorts, etc. I'm running Vista Home Premium. Does anyone know of a way I can get all of this back? I didn't move it to the recycle bin, it said that it was too big and had to be permanently deleted. I've downloaded couple of recovery programs, and they all locate it, but they all want like $50 or more for the full version to get it back. Can anyone help me out? I really need to get all of this back.

I did a quick google search and found
    Free Undelete
    .

Remeber to not install anything onto the Drive where your videos are @ or you risk damaging them. If possible dl/install the program onto a flash drive so you dont risk loosing the videos.

RecoverMyFiles is probably the best option, but you can't get something for nothing. It is $50.

Got my hands on RecoverMyFiles, it's currently running. We'll see what happens, but it has found a ton of .avi, .mov. and .wmv files so far.

It worked. Sweet mother of god, it worked. I am so happy.

I'm backing up all of this stuff tomorrow. I have literally hundreds of obscure European racing and BMW videos, tons of music videos, videos of my daughter, movies, animation shorts, just gigs and gigs of stuff I've collected over the years.

No doubt. Methinks that's probably a good idea.

The only really crappy thing is that now everything is renamed "Recovered_avi" or "Recovered_wmv". Oh well.
