I was using USB-C thunderbolt to connect a LG 27UD88. It worked great, until one day it suddently stop working. If I use Transformer 3 pro to connect LG 27UD88 with USB-C, it works fine. Any suggestions? Cheers!

Have you tried to update the driver for that?

Hi guys, thanks for your responses. I've updated the driver, but still no luck. Please see the driver details shown as below.

Please try resetting your laptop's EC (embedded controller)
To do this, follow the steps below:
    1. turn off the unit completely
    2. unplug it from any power sources/ac adapters and also unplug all peripherals such as mice/keyboards, headphones, ect.
    3. take out the battery (if the battery is not intended to be user-removable, skip this step)
    4. Hold down the unit's power button for a maximum of 30 seconds. (during this step, the screen may flicker on and off - this is normal, do not be alarmed - please do not let go of the power button until the full 30 seconds is up)
    5. Plug in the AC adapter and restart the system, or turn it on if it's off.

are you using a usbc hdmi active converter adapter, or passive usbc displayport alt mode adapter?

are there any warnings in Device Manager?

Maybe your graphics drivers are busted. Try clean uninstall nvidia drivers and reinstall, and see if nvidia control panel detects the thunderbolt port as a displayport

If usb devices still work with the usb-c port, either directly or thru usba adapter, then the TB port probably isn't broken.
