So what should I do if I dont hear the clicking anymore but my harddrive still works perfectly? I havent heard it in awhile since I did a scan ( still scanning)

Btw I also have a protectsmart hardrive in my laptop. Would that help protect my laptop's hardrive?

It's probably just fine. I would just backup everything important to be safe.

You don't shake hard drives for the same reason you don't shake babies.

Because you can break the read/write arm, and/or cause a head collision on the disk platter?
