What on earth do you need 780W for on the P650? That's beyond overkill.

I'm already hitting power limit on the 230watt supply with the overclock. I was just asking

Are you sure there is no 330W with matching plug and voltage?

I believe you can mod the plug of one with different plug like from DELL, MSI or a different CLEVO model. That's assuming there is non for yours. But one thing you need to be sure of is whether your laptop circuitry would actually pull that much power or there is a limitation on the motherboard.

I believe all the 330s that come with Clevos (usu. Delta?) are 4 pin but there may be a universal that will fit

Not sure how much I'd trust a 330W adapter with a removable tip but there it is.

If there is no sense pin a la Dell PSUs, your laptop has no way of knowing what's connected. So if you're not already tripping the PSU safety, a higher wattage PSU does nothing for you.

I would personally never trust a universal Adapter, let alone one that will operate under such high wattage :D

There's that too, but I'm starting to suspect that like screens they're all made by the same 3-4 companies even if they're generically branded.

You would be amazed by how many underground manufacturing facilities China has, which ofc doesn't conform or just claim to conform to standards.
