The power supply unit that came with my machine is labelled FSP230-AJAN3 from "FSB Group Inc", and the not-much-smaller unit I bought from Eluktronics is ADP-230EB T from "Delta Electronics"

BTW guys, it looks like Intel-USB-C problems aren't limited to the QC7:

    https://www.laptopmag.com/news/lenovo-thinkpads-hit-with-widespread-usb-c-port-defects-what-to-do

The scary part is that apparently the Intel-provided firmware will outright break the hardware (over time) after which it's too late for a software-only fix; according to:

    https://www.notebookcheck.net/Think...t-s-happening-and-how-to-fix-it.451207.0.html

the potentially at-risk Thunderbolt controllers are:

    ----
Affected Alpine Ridge controllers (2016) PCI IDs: 15bf 15d9 15d2

Affected Titan Ridge controllers (2018) PCI IDs: 15eb
    ----

My QC7 is apparently 15e8 - I assume that applies to all of you, in which case it means that any Thunderbolt problems we might face are a different set of Intel-related problems?

I purchased the FSP180 180w charger from that list for day to day use and it's significantly lighter than the stock 230w charger. Obviously wouldn't work for full tilt gaming but I mainly use my laptop for ultrabook functions during the day.

Same here which is why i bought the lighter 230watt charger. But that new asus g14 would have been an even more perfect laptop since it supports type c 65w charging. A shame we cant do that with the mag.

    Hi all,

does anyone know how many displays the QC7 can drive *simultaneously*? Is it possible to drive a monitor off the USB-C at the same time I am using the internal display *and* the HDMI (for a total of 3 displays)? Does anyone know of any USB-C or HDMI solutions that can drive more than one display at a time (I'm thinking of doing my own "home made" 4K solution by adding three 1920x1080 displays to the built-in display for a total 3840x2160 resolution when I'm set up on a desk - this would mean I'm one port short even if the USB-C and HDMI can be live simultaneously)

Usb c port should be able to support 2 display port 1.2 monitors at the same time with correct usb c to display port splitter.

    thanks!!

I googled, I see what you mean - these splitters all seem to say the USB-C port needs to support "DisplayPort Alternate Mode", is this something the QC7 support? (sorry for all these basic questions)

    Thanks again

Just finally got my Eluktronics, so far very good, really like the build quality. Questions: 1) do you recommend to update bios? (i have 2019.0808.1937 now) 2) which soft to use to do undervolting?
    Thanks
