According to Anandtech the Intel HD 3000 has got quite some overclocking overhead. However, to do the OC'ing you a need BIOS that allows for it. Obviously this is a bit of a rarity in the mobile world, so I was wondering if there was a software level solution that would allow mobile HD 3000 to achieve similar results.

    Cheers,

Not that I heard of sadly. I think it is dependent on if you can overclock the CPU per se and not many laptops can overclock the CPU unless you have a special PLL that matches the ones used in SetFSB or probably ThrottleStop.

You will have to OC the CPU because GPU and CPU are linked. So there will be no programm at the moment wich will allow you to OC the GPU Core only.
The only thing you could try is to oc with a PLL mod and a programm like SetFSB.

+1. Only two ways of getting more performance with a HD3000 is to give it more RAM by going say a 2x4GB setup OR by doing a BCLK overclock, usually pinmodding a PLL to do it. See sig if interested.
