The ergonomics of the keyboard being that far forward are not for everyone.

What the Zephyrus does do well are the clips attached to the display casing near the hinges that elevate the base up when the laptop is open, but recede to being flush with the base when closed.

Case naked is always better for temps. Hwunboxed review shows the benefit from just jacking up the rear to free up the air intakes. I suppose you could get the same effect using the power brick, with some adhesive grommets or velcro to keep the laptop in place

The bigger Alienware BGA brother is up for a short initiation.

    Just arrived: Alienware m17 and unlocked i9-8950Hk in review notebookreview.com | April 13, 2019

Dell's full-frontal refresh of its popular Alienware 17 series is significantly leaner and more portable. It does, however, sacrifice some features along the way that Alienware purists may miss. We list the major changes here based on our hands-on review of the newer model.

The 17.3-inch Alienware m17 is a spin-off of the Alienware 17 with the looks and design of the 15.6-inch Alienware m15. The end result is an "Alienware 17 Lite" as the m17 has omitted some hardware features in order to offer such a small form factor.

And no changes in thermals vs it's smaller brother Alienware m15. Red as only red can be:oops:

And yeah, the locked down i7-8750H in same m17 chassis doesn't help much... Maybe a 4 core Mobile i5 would be better?

Well, the defect is found on every dell laptops. Its working as per design and 100C isn't that much, if its 150C at idle and max load then you will need to repaste and repaste or even throw it at Dell HQ doormat to accept their faulty hardware that doesn't work as intended!

I think that is a typo. It should read "MusselBook" and here is a nice recipe for getting the most from your mussels. :vbwink:

That will be the standard clock once it gets put in garbage like the Macbook Pro, 2.4GHz is almost as slow as a 1st gen mobile i7.
