    Anyone know if this card will work in a Ryzen laptop? Specifically the ROG Strix Scar 15 with 5900HX? Thank you

    I don't see why not, ASUS doesn't use whitelists.

    Thank you. I had read this card works with Intel CPUs only. Wanted to double check before purchasing one.

    @mario64

    You're welcome!

    It gets confusing with the gen 1 cards they released with 2 different interfaces. Gen 1 cards also perform worse than the AX210 and the 210 also includes 6GHZ when you decide to upgrade your router to a 6E device.

    This is internal speed between my server / laptop over 802.11AX . The fastest I've clocked it is 1.3gbps though on longer transfers but, smaller files typically hit 900-950mbps.

    Follow-up question. What is the proper sequence for replacing the existing MediaTek wifi card with the AX210? Should you remove via Apps/Programs first or just remove from Device Manager? I assume you have to uninstall both wifi and BT software/devices?

    You don't actually need to do anything more than pull the physical card and put the new one in and make sure the latest Intel drivers are installed for it. If you want to clean things up then post reboot just remove the old drivers.
