I recently sent my T61 for repairs cause the screen was all messed up, so they replaced it and sent it back. But when I tried to use my webcam it was no longer working. So I installed the driver thinking it could be the problem, but again it was not working. So now I'm thinking, could IBM unplugged the webcam from the motherboard? If they did could I fix this problem on my own, since I really can not afford to send the laptop again since I am in the middle of school and need my laptop everyday.

Thanks for any help if I can get this done without sending the laptop back to the depot.

i had the very same problem yesterday when the tech guy from dell replaced my screen. the screen connector has a main end for the data cable and small connectors for webcam, backlighting etc. he forgot to give the webcam connector and the cam didnt turn on. had to dismantle it myself today and plug in the webcam connector to set it up running.
