Need your help guys, I slipstreamed the sata driver onto the xp installation cd but I keep getting a BSOD message "STOP 0x0000007B..."

Anybody experienced this? I already made 5 cds of the slipstream thinking it may be the copy I made thats making the error but it keeps coming back.

    Any advice?

no, you do not need to do the SATA slipstream process. you have a dv2000 series, not a dv2500 series. the drivers provided probably wont work for you. for the dv2000, you can find the drivers at the hp website anyway.

looks like the problem is with your original Windows XP CD. where did you get your cd from?

Do I need to install additional drivers for the microphone to work? Or does that only work for the webcam?

    Built for today and tomorrow

The HP Pavilion dv2000 and dv2500 comes standard with genuine Microsoft® Windows® Vista Home Basic, but you can easily upgrade to genuine Windows® XP Professional if you need to connect to networks at school or work.

    Isn't that misleading?
