I searched for about 2 hours last night trying to get my bluetooth to work but it just would not work! Some info

-My bios is up to date (A09)
-Blue bluetooth light on the right is not lighting up
-fn + f2 does nothing, and hitting the radio switch on the left also does nothing
-tried the infamous R159805.EXE but the file just opened and closed and did nothing
    -Also tried the following files; R140135 , DELL_WIRELESS-370-BLUETOOTH-_A02-1_R235898.exe , Bluetooth_Broadcom_V7a_6.2.1.500.zip

    Does anyone have any advice?

My computer came with vista 32 bit but I made sure it supported 64bit and got the upgrade
ill try this method, thank you

This is the program that just instantly closes when i run it, program R159805
    EDIT
Ran it from cmd and it says "No capable devices found" which is untrue, i searched google for r159805 and no capable devices found and there doesnt seem to be an answer

I believe they want you to run that program prior to installing any bluetooth software. Because it was designed for changing to a different Vista or XP you should also attempt compatibility mode with it.

Already have this downloaded but only once (everything else has like 10x by it because I was trying anything.) so Ill be sure to try this again thanks

Nevermind this is the one with both win32 and win64 in it, neither worked :(

    Ok new gameplan
going to shutdown disable bios and try R159805

Didnt work, even tried enabling the left radio switch to control bluetooth only
i guess this is literally unsolvable

I put the Widcomm stack from my XP Pro on my 7 Pro and it allows me to use my bluetooth stereo headsets. To keep it there I had to rename the bluetooth inf file in Windows. I also had to hide an update for my bluetooth device that kept coming up in Windows update. Could this be causing some of your problems.

It's a long shot but how about this app which installs a generic Bluetooth driver for most BT adaptors?
