I just recieved my laptop today ordered from Dell Canada, and nowhere on their site does it say it comes with an IPS but it most definitely is an IPS screen. There is an option for a 4k IPS but I did not get that, this is a regular 1080p IPS screen. Here are comparison pics between the IPS Dell 7567 (left) and my TN Asus G53 (right).
    Display options were:
    15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare LED-Backlit Display
    15.6-inch UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS Anti-Glare LED-Backlit Display
http://www.dell.com/ca/p/inspiron-15-7567-laptop/pd?ref=PD_OC (I ordered the model for $1,599.99 but obviously didn't pay that price)

Not sure if it ships with them as standard, but it is now a free upgrade when it used to cost 50 dollars.

They were fools for releasing this with that crap TN panel originally. Very good laptop completely ruined by the screen.

I am glad they are fixing it.

I just ordered the same specs as u have on the Canada Day sale. I was also worried it didn't give me any options to upgrade the screen to IPS. I hope that mine will come standard with the IPS display. It wasn't a deal breaker for me as Ive never had an IPS display but sure would be nice after reading all the crappy reviews lol. So you are sure u have the IPS display? so cool if it is.

This was interesting to read. I just ordered one of these laptops during a Canada Day sale and then started to read about the crappy reviews on the screen. I just thought oh well it was cheap enough and Ive never had an IPS screen anyway. So I ordered the fully loaded one with an i7, 16gb ram, gtx 1050ti. Also said nothing about IPS and no options to upgrade screen at all. I sure hope mine also comes with an IPS screen like it appears yours did.

I believe they do now come with the IPS panel by default. It's not the best one, but is much better than the TN panel it originally shipped with.

That being said, it's very easy to swap display panels on this laptop, plenty of Youtube guides show you how to do this. So you could just buy a panel off of eBay and then swap it yourself.

If you ordered the top-end machine, it probably came with the UHD display, which is an IPS panel.

Ya I order the top of the line 7000 series they had on sale for canada day. i couldn't upgrade anything any further so hopefully it will come with that IPS screen. I seen some vids on youtube on replacing the screen and yes it does look easy to do. I did it on an older laptop to see and it was quite simple lol. thanks for the reply.

The top-end model you ordered comes with an UHD (4K) display panel. It's a Sharp IPS, model LQ156D1JW06. A very good panel (360 nits brightness or so, close to 100% sRGB coverage).

That's the thing that was confusing me because Dell Canada just had option for FHD 1080p backlit LED screen. There was no other options. It was a $1699 computer on sale for $1399. I will keep updated here. It should be here end of month.
