    Hello,

    I want to know how do you guys import Panasonic laptops that aren't sold in the US.
    I found a site but I wanted to know if any of you have used it before.

    As far as I know no one does. Most of our members are buying used Toughbooks and you can guess where they come from :)

    Really no reason to. US is big enough chances are you can find the model that suits your needs here without importing. I can't think of thing I could get on an imported Toughbook that I can't get locally. Maybe one of those with moon man language keyboards maybe. :D

    This is incorrect, the original poster linked to the Panasonic CF-MX3, which is only available in Japan at this moment. The only option is to import it. You may not consider the let's note series a "true" Toughbook, but for some people they are a better option than the "true" Toughbooks! (Lighter, smaller and stronger than other machines of their weight and size.)

    @Zero000
    Personally, I've had good experiences with conics.net. If you enter "MX3" in the search box on their website, you will find it. You may also consider buying through a forwarding service such as tenso.com.

    Thanks so much for these links!! I'm shocked by the MX3. This laptop is perfect for me: indestructible but sleek+light 12.5" laptop/tablet hybrid with unlimited(!) battery life... why isn't the west begging for this product!?

    The only real downside is that they won't sell it outside of Japan (why!?), I have to go through these third parties. And it's super expensive already. And the keyboard will be in Japanese >.< but in a way that just makes it more fun.

    Also the dvd-drive is a bit superfluous, although it doesn't seem to add much weight/bulk surprisingly. I just think it's unnecessary. But the 12.5" screen is a big difference compared to 11.6" on the AX for me, and the MX3 seems overall better in other little ways.

    I will ask conics.net if I can get one with the exact specs I'm most interested in, but failing that, I may just order one of their pre-set models.
