    Hi
I asked in a German Forum before but I will get no answer in Time.

Does anyone here use Win10 on a Tablet without an Keyboard and can answer me a question?
I have an crappy Win8 Tablet who is a piece of ****. When I looked the Display like on a regular Laptop, Desktop the **** does into an Standby, Sleeping Mode who all a Application stop.

So how about Win10? Does it work like on a Desktop? That mean everything work and run. I need to log Data while I am Travel around and need to Lock the Display a) if it get stolen (who I hope never happen) and b) when I put in my Backpack nothing press anything.
    Thanks

@This is the name I have a Windows 10 tablet that is used without keyboard mostly. It works as you set it up. I personally disabled Tablet UI mode on mine altogether, and have second power profile that prevents tablet from sleeping under any condition.

You should elaborate on how you lock the display. If you press power button and expect the device to lock like a smarphone instead of sleeping,.. well, I got a news for you, it won't. Best you can get is turn off the display without locking on power press; maybe there's some workaround to make it lock instead, but I don't know about it.

You definitely can, however, create a shortcut that will lock your tablet instead of putting it to sleep or merely turning off the display without locking, and place it on desktop, taskbar or wherever you want. Here's a guide.

You could always turn on Presentation mode, which will prevent sleep. It's in the Windows mobility center in start menu or sometimes win+x.
As for lock screen, win+L, but if no keyboard in win8 try start menu > click on account picture > lock.

So in the Case I had an Win10 Tablet without Keyboad and I use the Virtual Keyboard who is hopefully still avaiable in W10 and I press Win+L what happened?
Does it go into sleep, standby or like a Laptop do nothing than lock the Display (while all application run)?

Win+L is going to lock the screen while staying logged in. It will also follow whatever is set in the power profile - so if it is set to sleep after 1 hour, it will. That is why I suggested turning on presentation mode to prevent sleep before you do the screen lock, or you can just create a new power profile to never sleep / hibernate.
This is how it worked on my T100 tablet / win10.

Perfect. With the W8.1 there was NO WAY to keep the damn Tablet awake when I was locked the Screen.
The ffuuccc.... Win Powersettings kow only the Sleeping Mode. That sucked a lot!
Now I have some € left from Christmas and now its time to get a new Tablet!
