Just had Lenovo honor the NewEgg Price on the Y510p with Dual Graphics Card and Apply the Gold Barnes and Noble Teachers discount had to call in and give my Login Info.

Barnes and Noble Gold | Lenovo | (US)

    final price $940.80

pretty good. Sold my old laptop for $200 could have got $400 but wanted the fast sale.

Did RMA my 2 week old Y500

Alright so I ordered a Y500 750m SLI about a week ago and it is currently being shipped to me house. I was wondering how returns worked with Lenovo. If I call tomorrow will they reroute the laptop or will I have to wait for it to arrive before I try to return it? I think I'm going to buy the Y510p off Newegg. They won't make me buy the Y510p from them right?

I've PM'd you, go ahead and check that.

You'll have to PM me once you've posted 5 times or something. That's when you're allowed to PM i think

    Hey Ice Cold,

Just a quick question pertaining to your RMA. I just processed mine as well and dropped my y500 at a UPS hub to return it. I was wondering if you included your invoice inside your package. I was only told to attach my shipping label and write my RMA # on top of the box and, as such, I did not include my invoice. However, I'm not sure if I was supposed to have included my invoice as well and this is worrying me a bit (e.g. what if they reject my RMA because of this). Thanks

Also, TheSonu, if you could please email me the Lenovo Rep's info to (my fake name/spam email) drakechan_@live.com that would be much appreciated!

FPS drop is a result of the power management system.
Try setting the Power Profile to High Performance and going to Nvidia control Panel and doing the same with settings over there.

It is not a defect but a consequence of running on batteries which can only provide a limited output.

I agree there still is not such a thing as an unplugged gaming laptop regardless of manufactor or a company like apple.

Razer edge pro it's the only exception I know of...and the battery lasts a whole 45 minutes lol. You're right though, all graphics cards throttle on battery and usually switch to integrated graphics. No switching for this machine though

But it still will throttle the GPU to go something like 135 MHz and there aren't any settings to change it (at least on the Y400/500).

I've been following the Lenovo Y500 for ~2 months now. Reading reviews, user-feedback etc. Now, when I finally decide to move in for the kill, this (Lenovo Y510p) happens. -_-
Serious dilemma. Now I have to wait for the reviews, user-feedback (etc) for this too?

Actually, the long wait, research et al was till a good deal came up on the lenovo site. For the dual GT750M version. Now I want the Y510p. I've seen many here who seem to know a 'rep' who could help me/us with a good deal. Any information about this rep would help (financially lol).

Hi TheSonu. Could you email/PM me the reps details please? Email (santa_the1@yahoo.com). Mods please don't remove personal details. After all, I am divulging that information willingly, right?
