Hope your wife is well and what’s not good about the screen? Not bright enough? Colors off?

Thanks for the good wishes for my wife, she will take more time to recover tho.

The problem with the screen is that I want to use the laptop for photo editing since it is capable enough, and the pen capable screen is perfect for this task. The problem is that the screen is 6-bit per color with very poor color gamut and insufficient contrast.

I'm in the process of getting a replacement screen that should fit and be adequate, but it's going to take some time until I have it.

FYI S540-14API shares the same motherboard, probably heatsink also. I had reviewed it and it delivers good performance+thermals even in stock config (out of the box)

Looks like a great option if you just want a regular laptop and not a convertible. Also glass touchpad yo... possible touchpad swap?

With the launch of the new Ryzen mobile 4000 CPUs, it looks like this model is being/has been discontinued. It shows as unavailable on Lenovo's website and is sold out on Adorama, Amazon, and Best Buy. Newegg and B&H still have stock, with pricing at $602 and $560, respectively. After reading this thread, I elected to pick one up since I'm not really using my Legion laptops to their full potential, and I'm quite frankly tired of the massive 230W power brick. I have my desktop for serious gaming and can use GeForce Now if I'm on the road. Unfortunately I didn't see B&H's cheaper price before placing my order with Newegg. C'est la vie.

Still $602 is less that I paid. $560 is a steal for this thing. Let's see what Ryzen 4000 mobile brings (depending if power can be configured in these new chips, they might be worth it or not).

    Bigger numbers = newer = better. :p

When you mentioned "controller" software for the CPU, were you talking about AMD's Ryzen Master utility?

Ryzen Master is only for desktop. Ryzen Controller is an unofficial app (like throttlestop) for mobile Ryzen 2000 and 3000 series (so far).
