Is there a reason the slower 3612QM costs more than the 3720QM besides lower 35w TDP?

Its a much rarer processor that costs us more from Intel so we have to price it accordingly. As Intel isn't making as many of these as say the 3610QM or 3720QM

    That explains it.

    Thanks.

To add to mythlogic's answer, as far as I know, the 3612QM is meant for ultrabooks (hence the low wattage), so a cherry-picked cpu that does comparable performance using less energy and dissipating less heat is bound to be more expensive. Kinda of a niche market that you wouldn't need unless very long battery power is a priority (as opposed to a DTR or gaming laptop).

are there any benchmarks out there to show the actual performance dif between the 3610 and the 3720? It it worth the 160 upgrade?

see notebookcheck for reference, if ure talking about the 45w 3610qm. As far as i remember there was like a 10-15% difference to the 3720qm. As for the 3612qm,havent seen any benches yet....

Just curious why Mythlogic's price on the W110ER is 221 dollars more than XoticPC's price? I see the CPU is different but you get 8 gb at xoticPC and double the harddrive space. As a customer i'm curious

Also how is the battery life with 3612QM next to 3610QM?

Battery life? My guess would be within a matter of minutes of each other.

The battery life is a little bit better. Also the price difference is because of our extensive building and testing that we do, we don't resell Sager's we hand build and test every one of our machines, and do a lot of engineering on all the different models (Hence all the different and exclusive options we have)

    thanks!
