I need to find a file that contains a certain word. I think the file has a MS-Access index (*.mdb), I'm not sure. I tried the Vista Advanced Search thingie but it sucks. XP's was very neat and it could find partial words inside the files. I know the file in in my computer because I used it less than a month ago, but I can't find it anywhere.

Is there free app that can search within the files? (not google desktop nor any other indexing application).

The Vista search can also find partial words inside files in indexed and unindexed folders. It can even find files by extension type.

I don't believe Launchy actually searches inside files.
