    What is all the excitement over an iPod??? My minidisc player handles 4 hours of music and lasts forever on a single battery. Or...we just go to the iPaq and groove to some tunes while fixing an Excel spreadsheet. Or.... I throw an MP3 CD into my laptop or desktop @ work and jam while throwing the middle finger to my VPs e-mails. [:D]

    I'm glad to see someone got one...but I still don't understand the fascination.

    They hold way more music than a minidisc player or ipaq. The largest holds 27 days worth of music.

    * Inspiron 8600c * 1.8ghz Pentium M * 128 MB Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo * 2x512 MB DDR2700 SDRAM * 60GB 7200RPM HDD *

    27 DAYS of music. WOW. That is a lot. Very Impressive, but not really useful to me. I wonder if anyone even owns 27 days worth of music? Anyone?

    27 days...ain't enough music in the world. They definately have the 'cool' factor about them. Quite a few people at work have been asking me about them for their kids. Oh well, too each his or her own. I still think my MD player is cooler [:p]

    23 Days 11 Hours 41 Minutes 46 Seconds (35.81 GB) on the Laptop, Another 10 or 12 GB on CDR's (All MP3)... Most of it ripped from my own CD collection, for convenience.

    First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap?

    teddy, that is a ton of music! Ever think about how much it cost at say, 15$/CD? The thought makes me shudder. None the less, I wish I had that much. More like I wish I could afford that much ;)
